Mercedes reportedly preparing a small version of the Mercedes Benz CLS or called by the name Baby CLS or BLS. The plan of this car was launched in 2014.

The concept of architecture platform MFA (Mercedes FrontWheel Architecture) or with front-wheel drive system.
Thanks to the MFA platforms that car has an alternative drive systems in accordance with hybrid technology. So there is a chance Baby CLS is produced in a hybrid version.
But with, until recently a variant that will be offered there are two diesel and gasoline engines. Capacity of 2200 cc diesel engine that powered up to 170 horsepower and a capacity of 2,000 cc petrol engine with power up to 200 horsepower.
There is even a possibility equipped gasoline engines made by Renault with a capacity of 1400 cc and 1,800 cc. Both are equipped with turbocharger devices. In addition there is the possibility of also using a 1600 cc diesel engine from the French manufacturer.
